How to do newspaper nails

I saw this online and it looked easy enough so I thought I would give it a shot.

First step, gather your materials. You will need an opaque pink, white, or beige nail polish for the base, a clear top coat, a newspaper, a bowl and some vodka. Most of the posts about this say that Rubbing Alcohol is better but I don't have any, nor know what it is. Everyone has vodka!

I used Dior Vernis Nude Chic, with Rimmel 60 Second Top Coat and Smirnoff Vodka.

Steps:
  1. Paint on your opaque base coat and wait for it to dry thoroughly
  2. Cut up small strips of newspaper
  3. Soak one hand in a small bowl of vodka (until nails are sufficiently wet)
  4. Press newspaper strip to nail and hold down firmly for 30 seconds (Try not to fidget or it will smudge)
  5. Remove and continue with other nails.
  6. When you have finished one hand, I recommend applying the clear top coat and then starting on the other.
NB. Be careful not to apply the top coat too soon, as it may run the print.

Et Voila...

 Don't judge my cabanossi fingers.
I used the TV guide section.
 Can you read your nails?

Now, if you have any vodka leftover, make yourself a cocktail and relax!!! Mine is vodka and guava juice.
